Optishot2 captures advanced shot impact data

Sixteen state-of-the-art optical sensors fire at around 10,000 light pulses per second to accurately measure your club through the ball striking zone, capturing accurate shot impact data and instantaneously transmitting it through the USB cable to your computer.

Club Head Speed

Club head speed is the measurement of the speed that your club head is travelling when it makes contact with the golf ball. Increasing your club head speed is a component to hitting the ball longer off the tee. Optishot displays your club head speed in either km/h or mp/h and is accurate within +/- 2.0 MPH

Face Angle

Whenever you strike a golf ball, your club face is; open, closed or square at the point of impact. This face angle determines the amount of side-spin on your golf ball and is one of the key factors that contribute to a draw/hook or fade/slice shaped ball flight. Optishot reads club face angle accurate to within +/- 1.5 degrees.

Swing Path

The path that your club head is travelling as it makes contact with the ball is; straight, inside/out or outside/in. This swing path determines the direction that your ball starts as it leaves the club face and along with Face Angle is a key factor in the shape of your shot. Optishot measures the direction of each swing path at impact – accurate to +/- 1.9 degree.

Face Contact

In order to get the most out of your golf swing, it’s important that you make good, solid contact with the golf ball in the centre of the club face. Optishot’s sensors will determine whether you hit the ball on the toe, the heel or the centre of your club face. Optishot tells you the spot where club face made contact with the golf ball.

Virtual Driving Range

When you select to use Optishot on Practice Mode, you unlock a lot of special features tailored to help you improve your swing and lower your scores.

The virtual driving range is one of the most popular practice features on Optishot. It lets you fire at 6 target greens across varying distances. Optishot Virtual Driving Range includes;

You may also choose to turn any course in the OptiShot library into your own virtual practice range. Each hole has been programmed so you can place your ball on any area of the playing surface. Choose to set up the same shot over and over again or follow the ball to the hole.

Improve Accuracy

For most amateur golfers, the most effective way to shave shots off your handicap is to improve your accuracy and consistency with irons in hand.

The two primary factors contributing to the accuracy of your golf shots are; swing path and face angle at impact. Optishot measures both of these metrics with incredible accuracy, so ensure that you get real-time feedback about what is working and what is not.

Increase Shot Length

Improving your club head speed is the single most important factor in gaining more distance, and with Optishot’s real-time shot feedback you can experiment with different techniques until you find one that generates maximum club head speed, with minimal missed fairways.

Optishot measures and displays your exact club head speed in your choice of km/h OR mp/h if you'd like to compare your club head speed to the US Tour Pro's on TV!

Remember though, don't fall for the temptation of simply swinging harder and faster with your arms. A long, fluent swing motion is always the best way to gain extra club head speed.
